Meet G Watch and Moto 360: Google’s initial android smart watches engineered by LG and Motorola

Google has disclosed its plans to make smart watches based on its android mobile software system.

It has declared android Wear, a project open to code manufacturers to make apps for the watches, putting Google at the forefront of efforts to jump start the emerging wearable computing market. the primary smart watches to come back supercharged with the new wearable mobile OS are from LG and also the currently Lenovo-owned Motorola.

LG are building the primary Google watch, dubbed G Watch, slated to launch within the second quarter. it'll be followed by Mototrola’s Moto 360 android watch that's seemingly to launch someday in summer this year.

The LG G Watch may be a square shaped simple watch engineered of plastic. It comes embedded with AN lcd touchscreen. per LG, the watch has been designed in square collaboration with Google, and doesn't carry the Nexus branding. an announcement discharged by the CEO of mobile communications for LG reads, “LG would pull out all the stops in each style and engineering.”
